The highest grading of prefinished wood. Boards are selected for color consistency. This classification may contain subtle color variation and small knots under 1/8 inch.

A very nice variation of color that shows the character of the wood. This grade consists of approximately 25% select and 75% traditional and may contain some heartwood and small sound knots.

This grade has a pronounced variation in color since there are not restrictions of colors, streaks, lengths, etc... This grade will contain sound and tight knots, scattered pinworm holes, and possibly some small surface checks. There are no manufacturing defects.

Also known as the "run of the mill". This grade will contain knots, pinholes, and heartwood, in addition to some minor manufacturing defects. There is usually no warranty on this grade.
